Giles Mohan and Marcus Power, with Emma Mawdsley from Cambridge University, organised a panel in the RGS-IBG Annual Conference 2007 (29-31 August) titled: ‘New Imperialism or ‘south-south’ cooperation? China and India growing role in world development’. Giles Mohan and Marcus Power also presented a paper: ‘New African choices? The politics of Chinese involvement in Africa and the changing architecture of development’.
