Giles Mohan, Marcus Power and May Tan-Mullins presented two papers at the Development Studies Association 2008 Conference held in London.

The papers were entitled ‘Chinese “aid”: Redefining Cooperation and Donor Coordination’ and ‘Chinese Migrants in Africa as New Agents of Development?’.

They were presented in a session on ‘China as a New Shaper of Development’ chaired by Sarah Cook (IDS, Sussex) and discussed by Raphie Kaplinshy (Open University) and Catherine Martin (DFID).
